SOCIAL AND BEHAVIORAL CHANGE COMMUNICATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION WITH PUPILS FROM MAMA MULEZI SECONDARY SCHOOL (June 16th)

In line with its commitment to driving environmental awareness amongst the Congolese children who will protect and preserve the Congolese tropical rainforest, Groupe Utalii Kwetu, joined the rest of the world to celebrate the 2022 International Day of the African Child by holding a conference on climate change and environmental protection with around 1000 young kids enrolled at MAMA MULEZI secondary school.

More than 800 students have taken a firm commitment to be environmental protectors after being told about the urgency to protect and preserve our changing climate by reducing our carbon footprint as human beings.

We all agreed that as DR Congo, our huge possibility to contribute is through protecting our tropical rainforest which is a big reservoir of Carbon dioxide.

Every year, June 16, has been set aside by the United Nations as the International Day of the African Child to celebrate children in Africa and to recognise the courage of students who marched for their right to better education in Soweto, South Africa.
